Blessings and not problems should be viewed through a magnifying glass. Yesterday I changed from FIOS to Time Warner to supply my phone, TV, and computer. The Very nice installer was scheduled between 9:00am and 12:00pm.
He arrived at 1:00pm and stayed until 8:00pm. They changed the phone number I have had for 5o years. I complained. My 50 inch TV now has a 40 inch picture. I complained. I cannot get the BYU channel. Unacceptable! I delayed my dinner companions for three hours waiting for the installer to solve the problem and leave. He never did solve the problem. I have paid for one month and by then I hope FIOS offers me a better plan. If not maybe DISH will. I will survive!

How disappointing! Have you cancelled with your old provider yet? When we changed, we had to cancel ourselves. The new provider did not do it. The three things you complained about are major inconveniences. Perhaps you can retain your old phone number if you change right away. Vonage is only $25/month. If you change right away, you may be able to get your old number. Otherwise, you will have to notify the many people you do business with about the change. You’ll have to buy new checks. I hope you can get this sorted out soon. I don’t think I would wait a month. Consider it tuition in the School of Life.
