New Christmas toy

Hello, I am using my new Dragon system that Cris and Mark got me for Christmas it's wonderful. I may blog more often now that this is so easy all I have to do is talk to much faster than typing and I make much fewer mistakes. It took me two hours this morning to figure out how to do this but once I got this far it's been a lot of fun. We had a lovely Christmas celebration Cris and Marc came Paige and Eugene came the night before and spent the night and then spent Christmas nine. The all fats have now gone up north to his family through Babel celebrate Christmas once more. Eugene made me a card that says I am technologically handicapped I am old and need help I have been certified for the stew things I thought it was hilarious. Eugene was so full of the Christmas spirit he bounced around and sucking the hands to the Christmas carols too bad Isaac wasn't here to join him he seemed to have so much in common little boys that love Christmas. I am so pleased with my new gift I can hardly believe I've been able to make it work hope you had a wonderful Christmas also.I have you had a wonderful Christmas to.I see many run-on sentences I have get used to how to use this thing and all of the help page that are available to me please forgive any funny mistakes that are on there

Renter and Care giver

Yesterday I had new carpet put in my rental apartment.  The new renters painted the living room egg shell blue.  It looks good.  I have known them for over forty years and they are good people.  Sharon, the mother has been renting my back bedroom and she checks on me often.  I am getting a care giver as well as a renter. Heavenly Father takes very good care of me and I am very grateful.

Because of the air pollution caused by the many fires in California Eugene took the car.  He usually runs or bikes. Paige usually come to visit and brings her laundry on Friday and I love it.  Having no plans for the day I am cooking!  I can’t remember the last time I cooked. I am cooking cabbage, fried potatoes and onions in bacon grease and sausage.  I eat out and get invited to eat with friends a lot and I don’t like to cook.  However I am a good cook, just laze. I can’t wait for lunch. Margot if you are now reading face book I will stop double posting.

I went to watch the LDS ladies play basketball.  I kept score.  I met a sister that wants to paint with me.  Yesterday I sat and watched TV all day and prayed for help to get me out of the dulldrums!  Now I have a painting buddy.  We both feel like we have been blessed.  She has not painted since 1984.  I began painting in 1985.  I haven’t turned on the TV today! Life is good.

I winked at cute single guy in church today, and he winked back!  He has an identical twin.  I told his mother that I am a sucker for a guy that winks back.  She said I could have him, she has another one just like him.  I guess one five year old is enough for her.  We had a pot luck dinner after church.  I forgot to bring a pot but hope to do better next month.  There was plenty for food and I ate too much.  Next time I will dish out the portions myself and make them smaller.

Friday Candace Kuhn and I went to Time Out for Women (a church program).  It was Friday evening and all day Saturday.  We stayed in a nice motel Friday night.  I walked a lot both days and my legs were so sore I could hardly walk on Sunday morning.  I was so tired I took a 2 hour nap on Sunday.  The program was very nice and well attended (about 900 women).  Candace is so good to me.  I was orphaned at age 76 and the Kuhn family has adopted me.  I won’t be changing my name. Candace checks on me several times a week and Dee and I go to her basketball and/or volleyball games.  Candace, her sister and mother all play Basketball.

People that fail to reach old age will never know the joy of the:
Surprise on the face of people you haven’t seen in years when, the find you’re still alive.
So many brown sun spots that look like you’re changing your nationality
Pains that make you aware of body parts you didn't know you had
Flagellants that could put you in the book of records
Wrinkles that would bother you if your eye sight wasn't failing
The love and kindness that comes your way from family, friends, and strangers
I love my life. God is so good to me.

I went to watch Candace play basketball.  She gathered up enough ladies  from the church for a game and has been asked to make it a regular thing.  It was easy to tell that the kids weren’t use to mother playing because they kept wandering on to the court.  There were twin girls there Phoebes age.  I loved watching them and thinking of my sweet Phoebe.  After the game Candace and I went to Grinder Haven for lunch.  They greeted me like an old friend and gave us free French fries.  I guess I have been there a lot lately.  I came home and set off the house alarm.  Any time I want a phone call that’s all I have to do.  They always call.  It has happened so often that I have stopped being embarrassed.

The sun is shining and I feel great, I always do better when the sun shines.  I took out the trash for the first time in months (my friends do it for me).  I walked around the house and into the back yard a small step for mankind but a big step for me.  I mailed a letter I should have mailed weeks ago. I think I may even fold the laundry, or not.

I got my taxes done today.  I also went to the gym for the first time this year.  I did 7 minutes on a bike.  I then prayed for strength to get to my car on my own.  It was a good day.

Yesterday Paige game to see me and do her laundry, I love it.  She always asks what I need her to do and there is always something.  Her visit always inspires me to do the dishes and my laundry.  Since she arrives at 11:00 am I have plenty of time to do both. I have a difficult time emptying my Romba sweeper it requires strong thumbs that I no longer have. It is set to sweep at 9:00 am on Monday, Wednesday and Friday so it always needs to be emptied when she arrives.  Happy B-day my sweet Jordy.

I refused to go to the ER again. Last time I was there they lost my record, and I sat there for 7 hours. My friend Dee finally complained and the papers were found. I had a co-pay of $50.00.  Because I refused to go back to the ER my doctor put me in the hospital for the transfusion.  I had a private room and they fed me a nice lunch and no co-pay.
This doctor that did the scope top and bottom.  It went well.  Doc wanted to see me in a month that was today.  I was put in the wrong room and sat there for an hour! I was not happy!  He wants to see me in a year…oh yaw.  That will happen only if I’m at deaths door, or at my age I may forget the whole thing.
An office call shouldn't take longer that the operation!!

Yesterday was a good day.  I went with my friend Dee to watch Candace play basketball.  Candace, David, Dee and I went to Spunky Steers for a steak lunch.  In the evening Dee and I were invited to play table games with the young women.  We played spoon and had a wonderful time.  Today I think I will rest, unless the phone rings and I get invited to do something.

I gave my car a cheap spray wash job and found the end of the hose was missing.  What to do? Should I call the hose police or accuse the gardener of circumcising it with the lawn mower?  I have had the gardener for 25 years.  He is good, reliable and cheap.  The hose is cheap and easy to replace.  I will say nothing and learn to leave with a short hose.  I’m sure I’m not the first woman to make that sacrifice.

Red Hat LaDieS
It’s my turn to be hostess and choose where we will eat.  I have just finished assembling 12 Easter baskets. I have 11 and ½ chocolate bunnies.  I had 12 but to be safe I ate a bunny butt. I wanted to be sure they were safe for my Red Hat sisters to eat.  If 12 people show up someone will get ½ a bunny but, it will be the top half just because I’m nice.

Found something, but not the cause of blood loss

Well, the last test found gall stones.  I am not bothered with pain from gall stones, but I guess it's good to know, although I can't figure out why.  I did have a pain in my right ribs and Crystal said that is the area of the gall stones.  It wasn't sever and last a short time. I'm not in pain and my tremors are much better and I am grateful. Margot I love all of your blogs.  I can't get too much of my sweet gg children and parents.

Needle in a hay stack

This all started with a pain in the back of my head and later my right shoulder joined in.  While visiting the ER I was diagnosed with neuralgia and given a shot in the head and shoulder.  I continued to HURT and the tests to find the cause was off and running.
In the last year I have had 3 cat scans of my head, 3 lung x-rays, a pulmonary breathing test, sonogram on my left leg, EKG, MRI on my throat, x-ray of my back and hips, Blood transfusion, (I was very anemic) several blood draws (they put it in and draw it out) Colonoscopy, scope down my throat (I've forgotten the term), and yesterday one more cat scan on my larynx, abdomen and pelvis. This CAT scan scares me. I’m afraid I will be charged separately for each one!  They have found very little, just what time does to all of us.  This sounds like I’m dying, but I feel good, like a 70 year old. The only part of me left to check out is my right leg and two arms. I am on a new med that is really helping my tremors.  I can even write. I’m driving and going to my lady friend Candace basketball games. Red Hat’s is Saturday.  We are going to Grinder Haven for pastrami grinders and root beer floats. Life is good. (because Margot doesn't read face book)

I just returned from being an outpatient In Pomona Valley Hospital.  I was there for 3 ½ hours for a Colonoscopy and an Endoscopic. They gave me pictures of my insides top and bottom.  I would include the pictures, but I forgot to smile.  This was one more expensive test that didn't find the answer to the problem.  If this keeps up my wallet will need a transfusion. (also on face book)
